Extreme heat & UV
Summer highs regularly pass 110°F and a closed garage gets hotter than that. Cheap epoxy can soften, yellow and chalk in direct sun. We finish exposed floors with UV-stable polyaspartic that holds its color and gloss.

Maricopa's floor coating studio

Maricopa Epoxy Flooring Pros is a local coating crew focused on one thing: putting down floors that last in the low desert. We work in garages in Rancho El Dorado and Tortosa, on patios in Province and Glennwilde, in auto bays and offices along John Wayne Parkway, and in storage buildings on the edge of town where the farm fields begin.
Every job starts the same way, with real surface preparation. We diamond grind the slab, repair cracks and pitting, test for moisture and only then build the coating system you chose. It is slower than rolling paint over dirty concrete, and it is exactly why our floors don't peel.

Built for the low desert
A coating that works fine in a mild climate can fail fast here. Maricopa's mix of extreme heat, farm-field dust and young slabs calls for products and prep chosen on purpose, not out of a big-box kit.

Haboobs roll in off the open fields around town and push fine dust under every garage door. Flake blends hide that dust between cleanings, and a sealed surface wipes clean instead of soaking it up the way bare concrete does.
Sprinkler overspray, hard water and alkaline soils leave white mineral rings on bare concrete. A non-porous coating stops efflorescence stains from setting in and makes hard water spots easy to rinse away.
Much of Maricopa was built in the last twenty years, often on post-tension slabs. We grind instead of cutting deep, map cracks before filling them and test moisture so the coating bonds without risking the cables.

Full-width feature
This is what a properly prepared metallic epoxy floor looks like at golden hour: deep, seamless and bright enough to light the whole garage. Every swirl is placed by hand, so no two Maricopa floors look the same.

The part you never see
Most coating failures in Arizona trace back to one shortcut: putting product on concrete that was only acid-washed or, worse, just swept. Acid etching leaves residue and doesn't remove sealers, and the coating ends up sitting on the surface instead of locking into it. When the slab heats up and expands, that weak bond lets go.
We use industrial diamond grinders with HEPA vacuum systems to open the concrete to a consistent profile, much like fine sandpaper. That lets the base coat soak in and grab. Then we chase and fill cracks, patch spalled edges near the garage door, and grind the repairs flush so they disappear under the finished floor.

How it works
No mystery and no surprise charges. Here's exactly what happens when you book a Maricopa floor with us.

We visit your home or business, measure the space, check the slab for cracks, old coatings and moisture, and bring physical flake and metallic samples you can see in your own light. You get a written quote that names the system, the number of coats and the schedule.

On install day we protect your walls and doors, then diamond grind the entire floor with dust-controlled equipment. Cracks, pitting and spalls are filled with a fast-setting repair material and ground smooth so they vanish under the coating.

A penetrating epoxy or polyurea base coat is squeegeed and back-rolled into the open concrete. This is the layer that bonds to your slab, so we apply it at the thickness the manufacturer specifies, not thinned out to stretch a bucket.

Depending on your system, we broadcast decorative flake to full coverage, work metallic pigments by hand, or apply a tinted body coat. Flake floors are then scraped and vacuumed so the surface is uniform before sealing.

A clear, UV-stable polyaspartic or urethane topcoat locks everything in and sets the gloss and grip level. We walk the finished floor with you, go over cure times and care tips, and leave the space cleaner than we found it.

Know your chemistry
People say "epoxy floor" for all of them, but these materials behave very differently in the Arizona heat. Most of our garage floors combine two of them to get the best of each.

Epoxy is the workhorse. It builds thick, self-levels beautifully and bonds hard to properly ground concrete, which makes it ideal for base coats, metallic floors and commercial spaces. Its weak spot is sunlight: on its own it can amber over time in UV exposure, so we top it with a polyaspartic or urethane clear coat wherever the sun reaches.

Polyaspartic is the reason one-day garage floors exist. It cures in hours instead of days, stays clear and glossy in direct Arizona sun, and resists hot tires, scratches and chemicals better than epoxy topcoats. It can be applied in a wider temperature range, which matters during a Maricopa summer.

Polyurea is flexible and incredibly tough. As a base coat it can stretch slightly as the slab expands and contracts with big day-to-night temperature swings, so it resists cracking and delamination. Paired with a polyaspartic topcoat, it's our go-to system for Maricopa garages that need to be back in service fast.

Choose your look
Hover or tap a finish to see where it works best. During your estimate we'll bring samples so you can compare colors against your cabinets, stucco and lighting.

The most popular garage finish in Maricopa. Hides dust and tire marks, adds grip, and comes in blends from warm desert tones to cool greys.

Pearlescent pigments worked by hand for a marble-like, three-dimensional look. A favorite for casitas, game rooms and showrooms.

Clean, modern and bright. Solid epoxy reflects light and is easy to keep spotless, which makes it great for workshops, laundry rooms and offices.

Light-colored, slip-resistant coatings for patios, walkways and pool decks that stay more comfortable under bare feet than dark concrete.
Straight answers on price
We get it: you want a number. The trouble with online price-per-square-foot charts is that they ignore the things that actually drive cost on a real slab. Two garages of the same size on the same street can price differently because one has a peeling DIY coating and the other is bare concrete. That's why we quote in person, in writing, for free.
What we can promise is transparency. Your quote lists the square footage, the prep work, each coat in the system and the topcoat, so you can compare us with anyone else line by line. If a cheaper bid skips grinding or uses a single thin coat, you'll be able to see it.

Questions, answered
The questions homeowners and business owners ask us most. Don't see yours? Call (520) 555-0148 and talk to a real installer.

Most two-car garages in Maricopa land somewhere between the cost of a nice appliance and a used golf cart, but the honest answer depends on square footage, slab condition and the system you choose. A full-broadcast flake floor with a polyaspartic topcoat costs more than a single-color epoxy, and cracked or previously sealed concrete needs extra prep. We give you a written, line-item quote after a free on-site visit so you are never comparing vague ballpark numbers.
A typical Maricopa garage with a polyurea base and polyaspartic topcoat is finished in one day. Multi-coat epoxy systems, metallic floors and large commercial spaces take two to four days because each layer needs time to cure. We tell you the exact schedule in your quote and stick to it.
With our fast-cure polyaspartic systems you can usually walk on the floor the same evening or the next morning and park vehicles after about 48 hours. Traditional epoxy needs roughly 24 hours before light foot traffic and around five to seven days before parking. Summer heat speeds cure times, and we account for that when we plan your install.
Hot-tire pickup happens when a thin, poorly bonded coating softens under tires that have been baking on Maricopa roads. We prevent it by diamond grinding the slab to open the pores, using a penetrating base coat and finishing with a heat-stable polyaspartic topcoat. That combination is the reason our garage floors stay put through July.
A smooth high-gloss coating can be slick when wet, so we build traction into every floor. Decorative flake adds natural texture, and we can mix a fine anti-slip aggregate into the topcoat for patios, pool decks, entries and commercial kitchens. We will show you the texture options during your estimate.
Yes, in most cases. We grind off old sealers and failing paint, degrease oil spots, and fill cracks and spalls with a fast-setting repair compound before any coating goes down. Severe moisture issues or structural cracks get flagged during the estimate, and we explain your options honestly.
Our crews are based around Maricopa and work every neighborhood in the 85138 and 85139 ZIP codes, plus nearby Pinal County communities such as Stanfield, Hidden Valley, Thunderbird Farms, Mobile and the Ak-Chin area. If you are a little farther out, ask. We often schedule nearby jobs together.
Sweep or use a dust mop weekly, especially after monsoon dust storms, and rinse or mop with warm water and a pH-neutral cleaner as needed. Avoid citrus or vinegar cleaners, which can dull the gloss over time. Wipe up battery acid, brake fluid and pool chemicals promptly. That is about it.
